Story Behind the Need:

• Business group: Risk Management
• Model Monitoring Data & Analytics group contributes to the management of credit risk for consumer and small business products by monitoring the performance of models used for Originations, Account Management, Collections and Regulatory Capital.
• Project: Global Risk Management (GRM) continues to modernize across data, tech, and analytics functions. The objective is to modernize legacy data pipelines, data infrastructure and data management processes used for retail models lifecycle.

Candidate Value Proposition:

• The candidate will build modern data infrastructure for GRM leveraging cloud technology such as GCP and Azure.

Typical Day in Role (Depending on the project phase):

• Compiling data requirements documentation for technology partners.
• Data profiling/quality assessment
• Data reconciliation between legacy system and target state environment
• Building data pipelines in Google BigQuery. Data aggregation
• Manage team stakeholder requirements and communications (i.e. with Model Owners, Model Operations, and technology and business partners)
• Developing Power BI reports
• Participate in daily stand-ups/ status meetings
• Project management activities could be part of the role

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• At least 10 years of previous work experience in a similar role, gathering/ defining business requirements for data projects
• Previous Titles to look at:
o Data BI
o Senior Data Analyst
o Data Engineer
• 7 years of hands-on experience with Excel, Data Profiling, SQL, Data Modelling
• 7 years of Project management experience
• At least 3 years of experience working with Python and Power BI
• 2 years of experience working with Google Cloud technologies such as Big Query

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• SAS
• Tableau
• SharePoint
• Data Governance
• Experience with Credit Risk Models preferred (best candidate)

Soft Skills Required:

• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, collaboration, and communication skills (written and verbal)

Best VS. Average Candidate:

• The Best candidate is someone who possesses the right mix of technical and soft skills.
• The incumbent has obtained an education within the applied computer science analytical field and has experience with Credit Risk Models.
• Effective communication and Project Management skills are important for this role as this person will be communicating/working with stakeholders across the bank.

Education & Certificates:

• Masters or BA in Computer Science, Accounting, or related Analytical field

Candidate review and selection:

• 1st Interview with Hiring Manager (1 hour) – MS Teams Video Call:
o Manager will provide sample technical questions and soft/skills, etc.
o Potential technical assessment, case study, etc.
