Salary: $105-115k plus a 5-10K bonus
THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Branch Manager is responsible for leading and managing all Branch Operations to achieve sales, market share, and financial goals within the region, in alignment with corporate strategy set by the management team. The Branch Manager ensures performance, dedicated and capable personnel, good communication within and outside the branch, optimal use of financial resources, personal leadership, and operational excellence.
AS A BRANCH MANAGER, YOU WILL:
- Implement a customer-driven culture in all processes
- Market the company effectively within the trading area
- Use sound management practices for planning, teamwork, performance management, and communication
- Supervise sales and operational staff to achieve targets
- Utilize internal estimating and quoting processes accurately
- Apply budget and financial planning to achieve profitability
- Develop forecasts, financial objectives, and business plans
- Use people management systems for recruitment, training, compensation, performance management, and safety
- Train and ensure staff have necessary resources (desks, computers, etc.)
- Develop individual career and performance plans with branch talent
- Direct all operational aspects including distribution, customer service, HR, administration, and sales
- Meet goals and metrics, identify improvement areas, and propose corrective actions
- Share best practices and competitive intelligence with other branches and Senior Management
- Address customer and employee satisfaction issues promptly
- Maintain high ethical standards and comply with regulations
- Network to enhance branch and company reputation
- Maintain and promote safety standards
- Ensure fair and equitable dealings with employees, other branches, suppliers, and customers
- Resolve inter-departmental work problems using win-win methods
- Provide relevant and timely information to branch staff and management team
YOU ARE/HAVE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Commerce, or related field
- 10+ years of construction management experience
- 5+ years of team leadership (managing managers)
- 2+ years of sales and/or account management
- Competency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software
- Intermediate accounting and inventory skills
- Effective communicator and negotiator
- Collaborative and resilient
- Highly accountable and motivated
- PMP or CET considered an asset
