Description Hiring business-focused QA Leads/Analysts. Successful candidate could be assigned to Core Optimization Program, Land and Well Management scope. This role will report to a Project Manager and support the development, coordination, and execution of test strategies for your assigned project. The role of the Quality Assurance Analyst is to support the planning, design, and execution of system testing of newly selected or existing applications within the Land and Well application ecosystem. Quality Assurance will be required for application configuration, data migration and associated interfaces between applications and the data warehouses. The Quality Assurance Analyst works collaboratively within the project team and business units to execute and validate test cases based upon system requirements. Key Responsibilities:
        • Accountable for the creation of the project test plan, test cases, test scripts and test reports.
        • Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
        • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test plan that ensures that the implemented solution meets the business outcomes and requirements.
        • Develop test cases and test scripts as per the test plan.
        • Work with the business analyst to review user requirements documents to ensure that requirements are testable.
        • Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process.
        • Report on deficiencies and testing progress.
        • Partner with the Solution Designer to ensure that the solution design meets the business requirements and outcomes and to determine test methods for validating the technical implementation.
        • Accountable for the execution of the test plan.
        • Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, harness scripts and automated scripts.
        • Execute and evaluate manual test cases and report test results.
        • Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.
        • Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management.
        • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.
        • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
Partner with the Project Manager:
        • To create an estimate for testing activities.
        • Contributing to and reviewing project documentation.
        • Accountable for the management of qTest (Test Management Tool) for the project.
        • Create and setup project.
        • Manage user.
        • Train users.
        • Ensure tool is being used appropriately.
        • Create reports as required.
The Quality Assurance Analyst role is in the IT Project Delivery the key interfaces are:
        • “Engage” – the Quality Assurance Analyst will work with the engage team to understand the project outcomes and how the project fits into the business plan.
        • “Business” – The Quality Assurance Analyst is the primary contact with the business subject matter experts who they will work with to understand testing requirements and test plans.
        • “Deliver” – The Quality Assurance Analyst works on a Project team. They interface with all members of the project team and other project teams as required.
        • “System Integrators - SI” – The Quality Assurance Analyst will work with SI-vendors to assure the QA work is aligned with Cenovus processes. SI vendors might have QA resources that need to work along the guidance of the QA Analyst. The QA Analyst then would need to assure the SI-vendors delivers the QA work according to the SOW and is managed accordingly. Within the program, there will be multiple SI’s involved to deliver work and the QA Analyst needs to coordinate work across the board.
        • “Vendors” – The Quality Assurance Analyst will work with vendors to assess their offerings against the project requirements and expected outcomes. The Quality Assurance Analyst will work with the vendor to ensure that the application is designed and configured to meet the business requirements and outcomes.
