The Position
Based in St. John’s, NL, and reporting to the Manager of Innovation Projects, the Developer will work closely with our Technical Lead and collaborate with all members of the Innovation Division to support various projects, initiatives, and commercial products within our portfolio. This may include:

  • Building, testing, and deploying automations and process improvements.
  • Supporting software and data integrations.
  • Programming and development of software solutions.
  • Debugging and reprograming technical systems.
  • Engagement with stakeholders and partners to gather information and data crucial for
    development.
  • Assisting in implementation planning, testing, and demoing to inform technology selection.
  • Assisting in the research and analysis of the latest technology trends.
  • Providing data-related analysis and services for companies within the Seafair Capital group.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • A post-secondary degree/diploma from a recognized institution in Software Development, Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant equivalency.
  • Technical knowledge of computer and information technology programming.
  • Technical knowledge of designing and repairing websites.
  • Expertise in problem-solving and coming up with creative solutions to technological
    problems.
  • Ability to read and write code, with specific experience and expertise working with:
    o Microsoft Power Platform
    o Python
    o JavaScript
    o MongoDB
    o SQL
    o React
    o ExpressJS
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills.
  • Customer service skills, providing explanations of complex computer systems to the client.
  • Ability to learn quickly and complete research if needed.

Assets

  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Power Platform.
  • Previous product development experience.
  • Previous experience working on health-tech or med-tech products.
  • Mature understanding of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and large-language models.
  • Experience in proposal development.
