As a Senior Product Manager, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap, ensuring that our products meet the needs of public sector clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap for product and service improvement.
- Identify opportunities for product enhancement by leveraging digital platforms, technology trends, and market insights.
- Work within a broader team on concurrent path analysis projects to gather insights and identify user and service owner needs.
- Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on product objectives, including risk assessment and risk management goals.
- Manage partner expectations and foster a collaborative environment for engaging users and stakeholders.
- Assist in exploring the goals of the service to uncover current priorities and assumptions.
- Understand the digital capacity of the service through the lenses of People, Processes, and Technology.
- Summarize findings and identify recommendations for the service’s path forward.
- Prioritize risks and issues in a structured and transparent manner, identifying vulnerabilities and potential areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate risk-related requirements into actionable product features.
- Evaluate performance and conduct regular reviews to assess product effectiveness.
- Provide weekly project and budget updates, responding promptly to government questions and requests for information.
- Develop and submit a final work plan for approval within 5 business days of the kick-off meeting.
- Develop a current state analysis of the identified service, clearly defining opportunities for improvements.
- Recommend potential technology solutions or improvement strategies and create a roadmap for solution implementation.
- Ensure all deliverables are submitted in electronic format and presented to the project lead for review, approval, and acceptance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Senior Product Manager with a track record of leading multi-disciplinary product teams, developing a product vision and strategy, and achieving that vision from concept to launch using human-centered and agile techniques.
- Experience in Solutions Architecture, Software Development, or related fields is considered an asset.
- Experience in managing complex projects and associated dependencies and risks to ensure projects remain on schedule and budget.
- Experience in change management and risk management principles and processes.
- Experience working in a public sector environment is considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment and risk management practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen ability to identify and address potential risks.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience in stakeholder management and client engagement.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating risk-related requirements into product features.
- Ability to work remotely, utilizing own business email and telephone.
- Availability to attend virtual meetings as required.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding project information.
