Our client is searching for a highly motivated and experienced System Planning and Engineer Manager to support our Chief Operating Officer with the design and longevity of their distribution system. A successful candidate is an exceptional team player, devoted to safety and is committed to providing an exceptional member service.
The System Planning and Engineer Manager is responsible for:
- Developing long term system planning in the best interest of the client.
- Participating and leading long term system planning for the client and their various projects.
- Coordinating the strategic distribution of these plans.
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with fellow co-workers and members.
- Being a part of the planning process for larger projects, collaborating with Project Managers.
- Staying organized and maintaining good time management skills.
- Managing numerous projects and competing demands.
- Overseeing various project services, including inventory management and maintaining materials throughout the project execution phase.
- Effectively using Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, PLS-CADD, Park GID or familiar with design/mapping software.
Your strengths include:
- Registered Professional Engineer, Senior Technologist with 10 years distribution and management experience in the Province of Alberta.
- Possessing a thorough working knowledge of power transmission and distribution systems.
- Ability to develop and write effective construction related programs, policies, practices, and procedures.
- Previous experience in rural power distribution system operations would be an asset.
