About the Role
The successful candidate will be currently registered, or eligible to be registered, as a professional engineer (P. Eng.) with Engineers and Geoscientists of BC. Projects will be a blend of both civil (primarily) and structural (secondary) work including:
- Potable water supply
- Sanitary and storm drainage systems
- Industrial and residential subdivisions
This position requires excellent communication skills with the ability to prepare clearly written correspondence, engineering reports and technical studies, and to communicate effectively face-to-face with clients. You will be expected to work independently, and delegate engineering and drafting assignments to members of our team. You will also be expected to provide mentorship to the other staff including junior engineers and technologists. This position includes working in a modern, well-equipped consulting engineering office with the opportunity for occasional field work, including travel around beautiful central and northern British Columbia, and occasionally Alberta, Yukon, and Saskatchewan.
Requirements
We are in particular need of a Senior Civil Engineer with at least 10 years of experience in:
- Civil engineering including the design of water, sanitary and storm, onsite wastewater systems, along with transportation, and lot development
- Preparation and checking of engineering calculations
- Development of sketches for distribution to drafting staff
- Management of individual project files
- Client liaison and business development
- Authoring and/or review of engineering reports
- Management and mentoring of junior engineering staff
- Occasional site visits

Salary Range: 115k - 120k (Dependent on Skills & Experience)
