Working under minimal supervision, the Senior Program Manager has a critical leadership role, bringing our Imaging products to the market. Working closely with leadership across Merge Imaging, the Senior Program Manager will coordinate, lead, execute, and report on all required deliverables for bringing our products to customers.

Working under minimal supervision, the Senior Program Manager has a critical leadership role, bringing our Imaging products to the market. Working closely with leadership across Merge Imaging, the Senior Program Manager will coordinate, lead, execute, and report on all required deliverables for bringing our products to customers.

This candidate will be required to execute all product innovation through the structure of the Quality Management System and will have overall accountability to compliance.

Essential Job Duti e s

  • Accountable for detailed planning and tracking of program releases for a portfolio of products, considering solution dependencies at portfolio level. Reports portfolio status against goals and requirements .

  • Partners with Product Development leadership on defining portfolio goals and strategies , ensuring alignment with organizational objectives .

  • Leads, mentors, and inspires product team members cross-functionally to accomplish group goals .

  • Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, holding cross-functional team accountable for assigned tasks and action items.

  • Identifies any barriers to successful program execution and escalates as appropriate .

  • Mentors colleagues within Merge PMO team to help elevate their program management skills.

  • Utilizes PMO tools, practices, and processes to effectively plan and manage projects. 

  • Drives implementation of possible process improvements for program management .

  • Pursues a program of self-development using selected reading, seminars, and participation in continuing education.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.

Required Knowledge & Experience

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in project management, preferably software development project management

  • Strong written and oral communication with the ability to present ideas in business-friendly and professional manner

  • Advanced judgment, problem resolution, organizational, cross-collaboration, conflict resolution, negotiation, and decision-making skills

  • Experience with Agile D evelopment practices

  • Experience working with Med ical Device s under a Q uality M anagement S ystem

  • Experience working in (FDA) regulated environments is preferred

Edu c a t ion R e qu ir e m e n ts

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science , related discipline or equivalent work experience

  • PMP certification is preferred
