Digital Marketing Manager

Our client, a leading Consumer Goods - Food Company, located inMississauga, ON is looking to hire a Digital Marketing Manager to join theirgrowing team.

This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days in office for meetings andcollaboration.

Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, this individual will beresponsible for overseeing the Company’s Digital Marketing strategy and initiatives. Responsibilities will include overseeing digitalbrand building & strategy, creation & execution of digital marketingplans, leveraging analytics and KPIs to drive digital strategy, driving digitalshopper plans & experience, SEO/SEM, website optimization, digital mediabuying, and budget management.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) StrategicBusiness Planning

  • Assists the marketing team in the business planningprocess with development of a digital strategic plan focused on brand building,consumer engagement, acquisition, and retention.
  • Identifies opportunities to drive innovation andcompetitive differentiation for the organization through digital technologiesand consumer experiences.
  • Develops and executes the annual digital marketingplan with supporting budget.

2)Analytics

  • Establishes effective benchmarks for measurement ofdigital marketing performance with KPIs. Makesappropriate recommendations to maximize ROI.
  • Defines best practices for analytics and ensuresconsistent, ongoing benchmarking and analysis of performance, including makingdata-driven recommendations to improve future success.
  • Analyzes campaign performance and conductspost-buy analysis and recommends tactical changes based on key KPI mediametrics and consumption ROI to maximize performance across social andprogrammatic channels, in line with budget parameters.
  • Continuously observes digital marketingactivities and evaluates effectiveness of initiatives and chosen mediachannels, adapting marketing mix to best support continued development.
  • Establishesreporting metrics for each digital campaign and reports on digital campaignperformance twice per year. Includes paid media across all digital channels.
  • Performs a digitalmarketing analysis once per year assessing competitor performance in each ofCanada and US.

3) Digital Experience

  • Evaluates the digital experience andother marketing propositions delivered through digital channels.
  • Collaborates with the Brand andCommunications team to define content/collateral requirements and to ensure thedevelopment and execution of engaging digital content.
  • Builds a plan to leverage relevant consumershopping data and online tracking, to better understand consumer behavior (ex.Monitoring Facebook pixel on shared websites), and builds a plan to retargetcreative and coupons to relevant consumer profiles.
  • Establishes and executes a plan to recruit consumerfeedback and markets it on Company digital channels.
  • Shares learning and best practicesglobally to drive improvements within local digital channels.
  • Works closely with internal/external partners toensure efficient delivery of digital marketing plans.
  • Examples include working with Pinterest, Google,Meta, Flipp, YouTube, and Checkout 51.

4)SEO/ SEM / Website Optimization

  • Brings an in-depthknowledge of technologies and processes involved in running SEO and SEM.
  • Leads Canadian andUS SEO/SEM strategy, applying insights from digital marketing initiatives toselection of key search terms and headline search ads.
  • Develops andoptimizes brand SEO/SEM campaigns, keyword lists, and headline search ads withagency partners (e.g., Google AdWords, Walmart Criteo, Pinterest).
  • Optimizes websiteand content for SEO/SEM.

5) MediaBuying

  • Schedules and sets up paid media campaigns todrive positive engagement on a variety of digital platforms (e.g. Google,YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, and Facebook).
  • Works closely with customer teams to developCanadian and US eRetail support plans to drive shopper engagement on existingand emerging retailer e-commerce sites.
  • Supports and works with media buys acrossassociated retailers and customer digital platforms in Canada and US (e.g.,Walmart, Kroger), while remaining informed regarding eContent on a continuousbasis, communicating any corresponding requirements.
  • Ensures keypromotions and marketing campaigns come to life on retailer e-comm platforms.

8) Budget Management

  • Recommends course corrections, ensuringeffective campaigns and lead generation from digital platforms
  • Balancescampaign spending based on market dynamics and campaign effectiveness.

9) Other related duties as required.

EDUCATION

  • Post graduate degree, diploma or equivalent in Marketing, Business, oranother related field.
  • Certification or Courses in Digital Marketing, or SEO/SEM an asset.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 4-7 years digital marketing experience within the CPG industry or 4-7 yearsdigital strategy/planning experience at agency.
  • Strong knowledge of leveraging analytics and KPIs to drive digitalstrategy and plans.
  • Prior experienceand strong knowledge of key digital marketing tools and channels (Ex. SEM, SEO,ERetailer platforms, mobile, YouTube, Pinterest, Meta, Flipp, Checkout 51).
  • Knowledge andexperience with website and content optimization (web analytics, rankings, marketingintegration).
  • Knowledge andexperience with paid digital media buying and set up is an asset.
  • Strong MS Officeskills.
