Procurement Co-ordinator

The Procurement Co-ordinator position is a key role within our strategic plan for the BFG Supply Chain. An enthusiastic self-starter with a strong drive to improve existing processes and systems is highly desired. Excellent organizational skills, ability to balance immediate/long term priorities and exceptional multitasking skills are a necessity. Key objectives will be achieving/improving/exceeding targeted customer service levels, managing inventory levels and targets, and managing supply and demand within the Global Supply Chain.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Plan and execute procurement of IT hardware from various manufacturers and distribution channels
  • Enter customer purchase orders into ERP system to drive procurement demand
  • Maintain strong working relationship and communication directly with BFG Project and Operation team
  • Monitor supplier capacity/shipping schedules and review open purchase orders to ensure JIT deliveries
  • Proactively report material availability issues
  • Maintain and monitor Item Master Data; revise essential system planning data to ensure Dynamics GP system is effectively planning future requirements such as EOQ, MOQ, Lead Time and transit times
  • Manage Inventory, DOA Reporting, Reduction and Reserve percentage measurements, Revaluation, Product Life Cycle Management (EOL)
  • Maintain purchase order status and shipment tracking information within the ERP system
  • Proactively provide supply status and shipment tracking to BFG Project and Operation team

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2- 5 years in Supply Chain planning experience
  • Certification in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or similar related field
  • Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts and application
  • Strong analytical, planning and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills (oral & written)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • ERP system experience highly desired, Oracle NetSuite
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities
