Job Description

Reporting to the Supervisor, Occupational Health and Safety, and working in close collaboration with managers, Occupational Health & Safety Advisor is responsible for:

  • Planning, organizing, coordinating and controlling activities relating to the prevention of work-related accidents and illnesses for the sites assigned.
  • Acting as a change agent for the development of an OHS culture among all managers/employees for all assigned sites.
  • Advising and supporting managers in their various OHS matters.
  • Collaborating in the development and implementation of various OHS programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
  • Regularly inspecting workplaces and work methods to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Carrying out analyses of occupational hazards and proposing preventive measures.
  • Conducting workplace accident investigations and analyses in conjunction with managers, and ensuring that the necessary corrective and preventive measures are applied.
  • Participating and collaborating with administrative bodies during inspections or investigations.
  • Responding to information requests from employees and internal/external customers concerning occupational health and safety.
  • Ensuring that all mandatory OHS training is completed for all employees and, if necessary, providing the required training.
  • Performing all other related duties.
Qualifications

College diploma or university certificate in OHS.

Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar position.

Knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations.

Proficiency in MS Office suite.

Bilingualism required.

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel between company sites.

Additional Information

Full-time, permanent position

Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm
