We are looking for a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our client's dynamic team As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic with us, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the proper functioning of trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and various heavy equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Inspecting trucks, cranes, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper functioning.
  2. Diagnosing faults using computerized testing equipment.
  3. Adjusting equipment and replacing faulty parts.
  4. Repairing damaged equipment parts.
  5. Cleaning, lubricating, and conducting routine services on heavy-duty vehicles.
  6. Installing dash cameras and fleet management devices.
  7. Cleaning and servicing machine attachments such as winches, blades, and side booms.
  8. Performing occasional welding work.
  9. Reading drawings and schematics.
  10. Performing preventive maintenance.
  11. Choosing and installing mechanical components.
  12. Performing major repair work when necessary.
  13. Consulting with other mechanics on smaller jobs.
  14. Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management.
  15. Going to sites as needed to perform equipment repairs.

What we offer:
Immediate start
Permanent Fulltime opportunity.
$34-40/hour
Normal working hours – 7:30am – 5pm (Mon – Thurs), Fridays till noon.
Insurance offered after 3 months – 100% paid by company

Who you are:

  1. 310T Or 421A – an asset.
  2. Certification as a heavy equipment mechanic.
  3. Proven work experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
  4. Understanding of computer testing and diagnostic technologies.
  5. Ability to lift heavy machinery.
  6. Extensive knowledge of diesel engines and construction equipment.
  7. Ability to work after-hours if required.
  8. Good communication skills.
  9. Good organizational skills.
