The Position:

Neelands is searching for aMaintenance Mechanic to join our team servicing the GTA area. This position is regular, full-time.

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Service, the Maintenance Mechanic will work closely with the team on items pertaining to maintenance and preventative maintenance of existing HVAC/refrigeration equipment. This role requires the individual to be available for day shifts, night shifts and weekends with prescheduled assignments.

Responsibilities:

  • Response to service calls and scheduled maintenance and repairs for HVAC/refrigeration mechanical equipment
  • Perform schedule and unscheduled repair and maintenance on mechanical equipment
  • Effectively communicate and update all information regarding assignments to the team
  • Build and maintain positive relationship with customers or clients
  • Maintain service vehicle inventory and cleanliness
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Valid G license with a clean driver abstract
  • Work proficiently with hand tools and drills
  • Work at heights from a scissor lift or a ladder
  • Gas license is considered an asset
