Technical Lead – Application Services

The Technical Lead, Application Services is responsible for leading a team of passionate technologists who deliver high-quality products and solutions. This role encompasses all facets of product management, delivery, quality management, technical solution leadership, and ongoing coaching and development of team members in a collaborative environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Accountable for leading application development projects through the software development lifecycle, keeping performance, scalability, and security in mind.
  2. Communicate with respective stakeholders to build and manage relationships.
  3. Provide thought leadership to the team related to solution design, capabilities, and agile product development.
  4. Lead an agile product team to ensure quality, performance, and scalability.
  5. Act as a liaison between architects, business analysts, and the development team.
  6. Provide leadership in automation and design thinking.
  7. Contribute to the application development technology plan and vision.
  8. Responsible for technical solutions, technology stack (including code deployments), and security testing.
  9. Coordinate the workload, initiatives, and projects of the team and ensure our commitments to our customers are delivered.
  10. Assess the effectiveness of delivery processes and drive continuous improvement where appropriate.
  11. Define, update, and communicate web application development best practices for the technology stack to team members.
  12. Responsible for end-to-end technical assurance, technical governance, and technical best practices.
  13. Contribute to operational effectiveness by working closely with other domain leaders.
  14. Provide technical leadership, foster a collaborative team environment, and provide coaching and feedback to technical team members (Onsite / Offshore).

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. 4+ years of progressive and related work experience.
  2. A University Degree or Community College Diploma.
  3. Strong understanding of product lifecycle and development methodology.
  4. Experience with cloud-based application design.
  5. Proficient in software concepts for Android and iOS devices.
  6. Experience mentoring junior team members, overseeing code quality, and evangelizing best practices.
  7. Experience securing applications against common security threats (OWASP Standards).
  8. Knowledge of current industry trends and development techniques for building solutions.
  9. Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  10. Demonstrated skill facilitating and building consensus among process stakeholders.
  11. Project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall.

Technical Skills:

  1. Experience in application development platforms and technology stack.
  2. Experience and understanding of integration approaches and Azure Cloud services.
  3. Experienced in front-end and backend development.

  1. C# .NET, Angular

  4. Azure services
  5. API Management
  6. IIS Web Server experience
  7. Azure DevOps
