Candidate Profile

We are currently looking for a Maintenance and Engineering Coordinator (M/F) for our plant in LaSalle, Montreal (QC). Reporting to the Maintenance and Engineering Manager, the Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation and compliance of the site's technical equipment, while respecting the allocated maintenance budget.
  • University degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Between 8 and 10 years' experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in project management (Lean method an asset)
  • Good knowledge of Quebec OHS regulations and building codes
  • Good knowledge of MS Office suite and comfortable with IT tools
  • Mastery of an ERP system, SAP an asset
  • Fluency in English an asset
  • Leadership, organizational skills, strong analytical and learning abilities
  • Attention to detail, quality and solution orientation

Activities

Main responsibilities

  • Participate in the analysis of technical diagnostics, maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Participate in the planning, organization and control of site work.
  • Coordinate the maintenance activities of the team and subcontractors.
  • Participate in manufacturing improvement processes by making technical recommendations.
  • Develop and/or update work instructions (e.g. LOTO), procedures and preventive maintenance program.
  • Draw up preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for various equipment, and ensure their follow-up and implementation.
  • Implement a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Identify critical parts and maintain a stock of available critical parts.
  • Participate in inspections and verifications of all plant equipment as provided for in the preventive maintenance program.
