Are you passionate about developing complex FPGA architectures designs with advanced algorithms, design implementation (creating your own systems and circuits), design simulations, data manipulation, and hardware test and validation? We are recruiting a Senior FPGA Design Engineer (F/M) for our client, for a full-time contract (40h/week) in hybrid mode (working at the office on Mondays and Thursdays) in Montreal. At this firm, you'll work with the Hardware (HW) team to solve highly complex problems in a wide range of sectors, including logistics, cybersecurity, finance, gaming, pharmaceuticals and chemicals.

Your main missions:

  • Perform conceptual (even from scratch) and detailed design, simulation and testing of FPGA-based quantum-inspired hardware.
  • Maintain parity with and improve upon other in-house competing solutions.
  • Suggest, share and participate in architecture decisions.
  • Design experiments and perform tests in close collaboration with academic researchers.
  • Design test procedures to identify problems and solutions.
  • Follow systems engineering procedures (requirements capture, traceability, design documentation, tests planning and reporting, etc.).
  • Any related tasks as need arises.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • FPGA design expertise
  • Proficiency with using Vivado; knowledge of recent Xilinx FPGA architectures.
  • Strong skills authoring VHDL and Verilog and interfacing with IP in either.
  • Proficiency using RTL simulation tools.
  • Experience of successful product delivery.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard software development practices (e.g. Kanban, Agile).
  • Experience in a technology startup.
  • Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
  • Curious, responsible, able to work independently and enjoy teamwork.

Assets :

  • Experience in modern C++ and Python
  • Experience with FPGA-based accelerator platforms (Xilinx Alveo, AWS F1)
  • Experience with HLS and/or System Generator
  • Knowledge of French is a plus.

Nous recrutons, pour notre client, un Ingénieur senior en conception FPGA (F/H), pour un contrat à temps plein (40h/semaine) en mode hybride (présentiel lundi et jeudi) à Montréal. Au sein de cette firme, vous travaillerez avec l'équipe R&D Applications afin de résoudre des problèmes très complexes dans un large éventail de secteurs notamment la logistique, la cybersécurité, la finance, les jeux, l'industrie pharmaceutique et la chimie.

Vos missions :

  • Effectuer la conception conceptuelle (même à partir de zéro) et détaillée, la simulation et les essais de matériel d'inspiration quantique basé sur un FPGA.
  • Maintenir la parité avec d'autres solutions internes concurrentes et les améliorer.
  • Suggérer, partager et participer aux décisions relatives à l'architecture.
  • Concevoir des expériences et effectuer des tests en étroite collaboration avec des chercheurs universitaires.
  • Concevoir des procédures d'essai pour identifier les problèmes et les solutions.
  • Suivre les procédures d'ingénierie des systèmes (saisie des exigences, traçabilité, documentation de conception, planification des essais et établissement de rapports, etc.)
  • Toute tâche connexe en fonction des besoins.

Votre profil :

  • Baccalauréat (Licence) ou Maîtrise (Master) en informatique, génie électrique, génie électronique ou équivalent.
  • Expertise en conception de FPGA
  • Maîtrise de l'utilisation de Vivado ; connaissance des architectures FPGA récentes de Xilinx.
  • Solides compétences en VHDL et Verilog et en interface avec la propriété intellectuelle dans l'une ou l'autre de ces langues.
  • Maîtrise des outils de simulation RTL.
  • Expérience de la livraison réussie de produits.
  • Familiarité avec les pratiques de développement de logiciels standard de l'industrie (par exemple Kanban, Agile).
  • Expérience dans une startup technologique.
  • Bonne connaissance de l'anglais écrit et parlé.
  • Curieux, responsable, capable de travailler de manière indépendante et d'apprécier le travail en équipe.

Atouts :

  • Expérience en C++ et Python modernes
  • Expérience avec des plateformes d'accélération basées sur des FPGA (Xilinx Alveo, AWS F1)
  • Expérience avec HLS et/ou System Generator
  • La connaissance du français est un plus.
