Ontario Government Client is actively seeking a Middleware Specialist. As a Middleware Specialist, where is your expertise in ITIL Service Management and Operational Support. Your role involves managing incidents, changes, and configurations, alongside providing middleware support for critical systems. If you possess expertise in coordinating projects, communicating effectively with stakeholders, and navigating complex technical environments, we invite you to apply and contribute to Ontario's public sector initiatives.

Note: The candidate is present on-site for three days each week.

Must:

  • 2+ years experience in ITIL Service Management

  • Incident, Queue, Change, and Configuration management responsibilities

  • 2+ years experience in Operational Support

  • Familiarity with WebSphere, Oracle 19c, Kubernetes, Ansible

  • Experience with enterprise Data Analysis/visualization tools like Power BI

Criteria:

  • General Project Coordination and Communication -

    • Coordinating and leading initiatives with technical and business stakeholders

    • Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving abilities

    • Experience in change planning and project documentation

    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other tools for automation and data analysis

  • Service Management -

    • Proficiency in ITIL best practices including Change, Incident, Problem, and Configuration Management

    • Hands-on experience with service management tools like Remedy/eSMT

    • Managing incidents, problems, and service requests through their lifecycle

    • Analyzing data and producing reports and visualizations

  • Middleware Support -

    • Handling fluctuating workloads and concurrent activities in an IT support environment

    • Technical expertise in Oracle Solaris, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, IBM WebSphere/Liberty/NDM

    • Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD concepts and tools

    • Experience with Axway Secure Transport, Informatica, IBM MQ, IBM ACE, and cloud-based solutions

  • Public Sector Experience -

    Preferred experience working within Public Sector or government environments
