Associate Marketing Manager

Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager, this role will be responsible for developing and executing commercial product plans to expand, drive growth, improve profitability and reduce complexity for the Weiser brand of residential door locksets. This individual will support the overall execution of the product development plan for the Canadian market. The Weiser branded assortment is comprised of industry leading designs, finishes and innovation. This role will work in collaboration with the Product Marketing Manager at our Lake Forest, CA head office on localization of product development plans. Please note, we are currently working a hybrid schedule. This person will be expected to work 3 days onsite in our Mississauga office and 2 days remote.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
o Supports the cross-functional team (engineering, sourcing, supply chain, finance, quality) through multiple on-going product development projects at various stages of development via the product development milestone process.
o Execute on strategic product road development. Understanding of market, channel and/or customer dynamics, product design, trends, and end–user preferences and purchase drivers.
o Identify new business opportunities, product adjacencies, customers and markets.
o Tracking of NPI scope documents (preliminary financials, KPIs, BOI’s, CTQ’s, timeline management, etc.)
o Annual supplier and factory trips
o Present and interact with internal and external customers
o Actively participates in Performance Management, Individual Development Plan creation and Goal Planning as part of preparing for advancement and leadership within the organization.
o Coordinate the product life cycle process and rationalize the assortment
o Support the creation of meeting materials for customer product collaboration and business reviews. Includes but not limited to product samples, display materials, research results and the presentation.
o Create and deliver training modules for internal and external customers.
o Accountable to the sales and gross margin performance of the portfolio, includes setting pricing, P&L, asset management etc.
· (15%) – Business Processes
o Contributes to HHI financial and business initiatives through established rhythms and assigned projects. Examples include sales and operations planning to improve forecast accuracy or inventory initiatives tied to working capital.
o Support the creation and coordination of content focused on the multi-family and builder audiences
o Manage product documentation process including mix management, product life cycle. Generate reports, tools as required.
o Support the development of the annual Price Book
o Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
· Minimum 3-5 years’ experience within sales, marketing, or product management
· Post secondary education in marketing or business administration
Required Qualifications
· Advanced in Microsoft Office Skills
· Advanced Presentation Skills
· Profit & Loss / Budget knowledge
· Category Management knowledge

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Hybrid schedule to work 3 days onsite in our Mississauga office and 2 days remote. Please note, this role will require travel to our Lake Forest, California location around 2-4 times per year.
