What role you will play in our teamReporting to the Applications & Systems Group Leader this position is responsible for identifying, implementing and maintaining advanced process control applications and lead continuous improvement initiatives. These applications are expected to have a direct influence on the technical performance of unit process operations allowing them to operate in a safe, environmentally sound manner while optimizing unit throughput and yields.
What you will do- Lead project execution of new advanced applications
- Provide input into advanced application growth and sustainment plans
- Mentor and provide guidance for Unit Process Control Engineers
- Provide overt and visible technical leadership
- Influence other site organizations to provide support and guidance
- Support Project organization for implementation of new projects related to process control
- Interface with Process Control Networks to leverage best practices for site implementation, lead initiatives and provide support to other sites as needed
- Participate in margin improvement meetings providing input as needed
- Accountable for identification & implementation of automation improvements within established standards/limits and benchmarked with industry "Best Practices".
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemical or Process Control Engineering, or equivalent, as certified by an acceptable Professional Engineering Association. Master’s or PhD Degree in Process Control preferred.
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
- Experience in Advanced Process Control (APC) applications design, implementation, commissioning and support.
- Strong understanding and hands-on expertise in Distributed Control Systems (DCS); TDC 2000/3000, Experion or other.
- Knowledge of Refining or Chemicals processes desired.

Eligibility to work in Canada:
