is immediately seeking a new member to join our team as
MANUFACTURING ENGINEER
Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with good communication skills and would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Support the design, purchase, installation and operation of all assembly equipment, including root causing assembly issues to prevent quality issues.
- Support and implement, through cross-functional teams, continuous improvement activities throughout the plant and oversee the R&D aspects for claiming purposes.
- Support launch activities such as run at rate, process development and PPAP requirements.
- Develop, implement, and improve upon cell and plant layouts, including work instructions.
- Improve and optimize manufacturing operations thru analytical studies (including time studies) of operating parameters, such as, production methods and processes on a continuous basis.
- Analyze, thru CAD & other systems, utilization, layout, workflow & shop floor inventory control and initiate appropriate activities to improve. I.E 5s etc.
- Identify cost effective improvements to equipment, error proofing system and plant efficiency.
- Work in compliance with Quality Business Operating Systems, Health and Safety and Ergonomics standards and Environmental legislation.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent work experience.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in the manufacturing engineering environment, preferably automotive.
- Must have advanced knowledge and experience in successful launching of assembly equipment as well as demonstrated ability to quote new assembly systems.
- Must be able to operate AutoCAD as well as 3D CAD Viewers (such as Spinfire, Spectrum, TransMagic, etc.), and Microsoft Office Products with advanced knowledge of Excel.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be self-driven with strong problem-solving abilities and be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Must be able to travel to the United States.
