Responsible for collaborating with internal and external customers such as branches and sales teams, Caterpillar and customers, The Technical Service Manager will be required to make frequent visits to customer sites to address ERS technical issues. Provide support to the large mining planning team and be able to present data in an efficient manner.Job Description:
- Responsible for the day-to-day leadership of staff, including; building, leading, developing, and motivating a high-performing team, and reinforcing the organization’s core values and expectations through exemplary behaviour, communication, and coaching practices.
- Work to maintain and improve the process for escalation of product problem management to provide solutions to our customers both external and internal, including data collection and reporting.
- Work with leade rship to develop long-term solutions for product problem management.
- Consult, advise and support Caterpillar on projects regarding the development of programs to enhance capabilities of technical communication to support Finning product lines.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
- Be accountable for developing the machine problem resolution plan with details including responsibilities and accountabilities until complete.
- Meet with Caterpillar on a bi-monthly basis to drive formal product support where there are gaps. Report bi-monthly to leadership on this metric.
- Provide planning support to a large mining planning team.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role, with direct reports.
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician, Millwright or electrician trade an asset.
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the repair and maintenance of Caterpillar's expanded mining product line and asset.
- Experience in 7495 electric rope shovels and hydraulic mining shovels, an asset.
- 5x2 shift schedule but possibility for 4x3 schedule.
- 30%-40% travel required to site.
