Position: Senior HRIS Business Analyst

Tenure: Full-time, Contract (4 months)

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid)

Position Overview:
Our client is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior HRIS Business Analyst to join their team.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the thorough assessment of requirements by identifying, monitoring, and documenting current business processes, systems, and challenges.
  • Analyze data to recognize emerging trends, recurring patterns, and areas ripe for enhancement, furnishing actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluate, investigate, and document the needs of sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Identify, review, and evaluate all existing manual procedures and custom applications utilized by various university departments/faculties concerning TA hiring and management.
  • Review and evaluate functionalities within current and planned institutional HRIS systems (including SAP S/4HANA On-Premise HCM and SuccessFactors Employee Central).
  • Develop comprehensive process diagrams to facilitate requirement elicitation, gap analysis, and training purposes.
  • Oversee the organization of project documentation in readiness for project implementation.
  • Identify potential risks and formulate or suggest strategies for mitigation.
  • Solicit input from business stakeholders through facilitation sessions.
  • Cultivate and sustain robust relationships with stakeholders, business collaborators, and internal/external team members.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to rationalize and optimize procedures, ensuring efficiency and alignment with university policies and standards.
  • Recognize issues and either escalate or manage their resolution as necessary.
  • Ad-hoc responsibilities as required.

Must Haves:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, and/or equivalent field
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role with a focus on HR analysis, system implementation, or related field
  • Possession of a Business Analyst designation would be a bonus.
  • Proficient in HRIS platforms such as SAP S/4HANA On-Premise HCM, SuccessFactors, Workday, PeopleSoft, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with SuccessFactors Recruitment would be a plus.
  • Skilled in all or most aspects of the project lifecycle with a solid understanding of project management methodologies and a genuine dedication to maintaining a disciplined project environment.
  • Proven track record in identifying and evaluating key business processes.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
