Aux Fermes Lufa, on a pour mission de bâtir un meilleur système alimentaire en cultivant des aliments là où les gens vivent, et ce, de façon responsable. Pour ce faire, on a construit la première serre commerciale sur toit au monde et on a développé des partenariats avec des centaines de fermes et d’artisans locaux pour offrir une épicerie complète d'aliments frais, locaux et responsables à nos clients à travers le Québec. Afin d’optimiser l’offre de notre Marché en ligne, on a besoin d’un responsable de catégorie motivé et dynamique.

Sous la supervision du directeur des achats, vous serez chargé de mettre en place des stratégies de marchandisage et d'achat basées sur les prévisions et les tendances du marché, d'anticiper les besoins de nos clients, tout en respectant la vision et les valeurs des Fermes Lufa. Vous serez responsable de développer votre catégorie de produits par le biais de négociations et de relations avec les fournisseurs. Vous contrôlerez également les performances de l'acheteur junior de votre catégorie et évaluerez les rendements sur la base d'indicateurs clés de performance spécifiques.

Responsabilités :

  • Communication avec les fournisseurs et négociation :
  • Négocier les accords, les prix d'achat et le calendrier des promotions;
  • Appeler quotidiennement nos plus gros fournisseurs pour garantir de meilleurs résultats;
  • Visiter la concurrence pour suivre les prix du marché afin de conserver une meilleure position de négociation et avoir des prix compétitifs dans le cadre des budgets établis;
  • Suivre et développer un calendrier promotionnel avec chaque fournisseur.
  • Développement de nouveaux produits et partenariats :
  • Créer de nouveaux produits et partenariat selon nos directives;
  • Développer une offre de rêve en fonction des tendances du marché.
  • Marchandisage :
  • Respecter des règles de base de l'entreprise en matière de marchandisage;
  • Auditer régulièrement votre propre catégorie de produits;
  • Assurer un suivi rigoureux des commentaires des Lufavores afin de proposer des solutions rapides et efficaces.
  • Gestion :
  • Suivre quotidiennement les performances de votre acheteur junior;
  • Assurer le suivi des stocks, des pertes et des profits.

Exigences :

  • Bonne capacité de communication en français et en anglais;
  • Forte éthique de travail, capacité d'adaptation et respect des produits et des délais;
  • Expérience de la négociation et compétences organisationnelles;
  • Diplôme postsecondaire.

Atouts :

  • Trois à cinq ans d'expérience de travail dans l'industrie alimentaire;
  • Deux à trois ans d'expérience en gestion;
  • Baccalauréat en commerce.

Horaire :

  • Temps plein, du lundi au vendredi de 8h30 à 17h00, 45 heures par semaine. Disponible pour répondre aux fournisseurs les soirs et les fins de semaine.

Rémunération et avantages sociaux :

  • Le salaire sera déterminé en fonction de l'expérience et des connaissances du candidat;

Short Description:

Responsible for implementing merchandizing and purchasing strategies based on forecasts, market trends, and the needs of Lufavores.

Role:

At Lufa Farms, we’re on a mission to create a better food system by growing food where people live and growing it more sustainably. To do this, we built the world’s first commercial rooftop greenhouse and partner with hundreds of local farms and food makers to offer fresh, local, responsible food to our customers across Quebec. To continue changing the way cities eat, we need a Category Manager capable of prioritizing our values while maintaining our relationships with our suppliers and developing new partnerships and products.

The Category Manager reports to the Head of Purchasing and is responsible for implementing merchandizing and purchasing strategies based on forecasts and market trends, anticipating the needs of Lufavores, all while respecting the Lufa Farms vision and values. You’ll develop your product categories through negotiations and supplier relationships. You’ll also monitor the performance of your category’s Junior Purchaser and evaluate yields based on specific KPIs.

Responsibilities:

  • Communication with suppliers and negotiation:
  • Negotiate agreements, purchase prices, and promotional calendar;
  • Call our biggest suppliers daily to guarantee the best results;
  • Visit the competition to follow market prices, retain a better negotiation position, and have competitive prices within the established budgets;
  • Follow and develop a promotional calendar with each supplier.
  • Development of new products and partnerships:
  • Submit new products and suppliers according to our guidelines;
  • Develop a dream offering according to market trends.
  • Merchandizing:
  • Ensure the company’s basic merchandizing rules are respected;
  • Regularly audit your own product category;
  • Rigorously follow up on Lufavores’ comments and provide solutions quickly and efficiently.
  • Management:
  • Monitor the performance of your Junior Purchaser daily;
  • Follow-up on inventory and profits and losses.

Requirements:

  • Strong communicator in French and English;
  • Strong work ethic, adaptability, and respect for products and deadlines;
  • Experience in negotiation and demonstrated organization skills in the past;
  • Post-secondary degree.

Assets:

  • Three to five years of work experience in the food industry;
  • Two to three years of management experience;
  • Bachelor’s degree in commerce.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm, and available to respond to suppliers on evenings and weekends.
