Electrical Technologist/Engineer

Location: Edmonton, Alberta

Company: Consulting Engineering Firm

Salary range: $70k+ (Based on Experience)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Technologist/Engineer to join a client of ours in Calgary, Alberta. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing AutoCAD and other similar software to design and document electrical systems for various projects. This role requires a strong background in electrical engineering and a proficiency in design software to ensure the accurate and efficient creation of electrical drawings and models.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with electrical engineers to translate design concepts into detailed electrical plans and schematics.
  2. Ensure that electrical designs comply with industry standards, codes, and project specifications.
  3. Ability to problem solve and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure quality standards.
  4. Maintain and update project documentation throughout the design and construction phases.
  5. Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  6. Implement best practices.
Qualifications:

Education: Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field.

Experience: 5+ years of similar experience

Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and MicroStation; familiarity with electrical codes, standards, and regulations; excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork.
