Estimating Coordinator

Reporting to the Chief Estimator, the Estimating Coordinator will be assisting with sourcing tender opportunities while supporting the estimating team during tender preparation and submission, as well as coordinating related contract administration and procurement functions for awarded projects.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform a wide variety of estimating related administrative functions:
  2. Tender Sourcing
  3. Prepare submission for RFI’s, RFQ’s, RFP’s, Tender calls
  4. Appropriately distribute documentation upon project award
  5. Assist in procurement activities
  6. Maintain Project Sheets / Resumes / Company Experience data
  7. Substantial Performance / Completion administration
  8. Departmental reporting
  9. Departmental project file maintenance
  10. Mail / courier activities
  11. Maintain Owner specifications database
  12. Support Post Project Analysis and Project Reconciliation activities
  13. Invoice requisitions as required
  14. Presentations
  15. Support Project Tracking / Forecasting
  16. Subcontractor Agreements
  17. Assist in accrual reporting for active projects
  18. Various project data analysis and reporting
  19. Collect and formulate key data relating to estimating performance
  20. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required

Required Knowledge & Skills
  1. Relevant post secondary education or 1-3 years related work experience
  2. Estimating experience in the construction industry an asset
  3. Strong computer skills – MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  4. Sound computer skills – MS Project, Visio, SharePoint, Acrobat Writer
  5. Strong communicator – verbal and written
  6. Self motivated with effective multi-tasking skills
  7. Work well in a team environment
  8. Ability to work accurately under pressure
  9. Construction related experience an asset
  10. Valid driver’s license
