Join the Squamish Nation as a Climate Initiative Manager to drive impactful environmental projects. Focus on community-oriented climate actions and support the implementation of the Climate Legacy Strategy.
This role blends climate policy with community engagement, where you will lead various programs aimed at fostering sustainability. Collaborate with stakeholders, organize community workshops, and strengthen partnerships to advance climate awareness and action across Squamish Territory.
Key Responsibilities
• Execute Climate Legacy Strategy objectives and community programs
• Develop and manage climate-related initiatives and projects
• Build and nurture relationships with environmental partners
• Organize engaging community outreach and educational activities
• Track and report on progress related to climate initiatives
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or similar field
• 3–5 years of relevant work experience in climate sustainability
• Strong skills in project management and coordination
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
• Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills Lead transformative climate initiatives with the Squamish Nation and contribute to a sustainable future.
