Develop cloud-native applications and distributed systems for LodgeLink in Calgary, combining software engineering expertise with a user-focused approach. Work in-office with 20% flexibility from home.
As a Software Engineer II, you will contribute to application design, development, deployment, and support. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and technical leaders on reliable, maintainable solutions. The role emphasizes microservices, architecture, APIs, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to cloud-native solutions and distributed systems
- Collaborate on scalable, reliable, maintainable applications
- Participate in Agile planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Identify technical debt and improve platform health
- Improve engineering processes, tooling, and development standards
Requirements:
- Three or more years building professional software applications
- Experience developing and consuming APIs
- Familiarity with microservices and loosely coupled systems
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture or Domain-Driven Design
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
