Job Purpose

GSK is looking to hire a COPD Biologic Specialty Representative to join our Respiratory Team. This 18-month contract role is field-based and reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager. This position covers the Northern Alberta territory, and the ideal candidate will reside in or near this territory.

  • Develop and deliver territory business plans for pneumologists, allied health teams, and other key healthcare stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with pneumologists and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Lead customer-focused initiatives and educational activities that create clear value for healthcare professionals and support improved patient care.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of GSK products, brand strategies, the competitive landscape, patient pathways, and the healthcare environment.
  • Apply clinical and business insights to tailor customer engagement and identify opportunities across the territory.
  • Capture and share insights from the field to inform local strategy and improve patient care.
  • Manage territory resources and budgets to maximize impact and return on investment.
  • Partner closely with Medical colleagues to support scientific exchange, strengthen clinical understanding, and deliver educational initiatives.
  • Leverage a multichannel engagement approach, including face-to-face, virtual, and digital interactions, to deliver personalized customer experiences and accelerate business growth.
  • Make sound, timely, and ethical decisions that contribute to business objectives and drive meaningful outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to identify opportunities and deliver innovative business solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training and relevant pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience working with healthcare professionals.
  • Experience working with specialists or in a specialty care setting.
  • Valid Canadian driver’s licence and ability to travel regularly across Northern Alberta.
  • Excellent active listening skills with the ability to adapt communication and selling approaches to meet the unique needs and preferences of customers.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, compelling, and impactful customer interactions across multiple channels.
  • Demonstrated success leveraging a multichannel engagement approach, including in-person, virtual, and digital interactions (e.g., Veeva Engage, Zoom, phone, email) to drive customer engagement and business results.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and a track record of building strong partnerships to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong organizational, territory management, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage a large geographic territory and competing priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a teaching hospital or tertiary care environment.
  • Biologic experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret scientific evidence and translate it to clinical audiences.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in a specialty setting.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Medical Science, Market Access, or Marketing teams.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills and comfort with basic analysis.
