The Region of Waterloo is seeking a dedicated Roads Maintainer to join the South Patrol Yard team. This full-time role involves general maintenance, including snow plowing, road repairs, and equipment operation. Ideal candidates will have at least two years of relevant experience and a valid class D driver's license with Z endorsement.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct daily maintenance checks on equipment
• Operate tandem-axle trucks for material hauling
• Perform winter snow removal and salting duties
• Cut grass and maintain vegetation along roadsides
• Install and remove snow fences and culverts
Requirements:
• Two years of relevant experience in road maintenance
• Valid class D driver's license with Z endorsement
• Ability to operate various vehicles and equipment
• Basic writing and arithmetic skills
• Must pass a physical demands test Bring your hands-on expertise and commitment to safe practices to help maintain the roads of Waterloo Region.
