Located in Logan Lake, BC, the Chief Engineer role involves supervising engineering efforts for copper production at Highland Valley Copper. You will work closely with teams to deliver robust forecasts, executive budgets, and seamless integration in mining operations. Your success hinges on strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, enabling you to inspire a high-performing engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical guidance to the engineering team
• Optimize workforce deployment for strategic activities
• Deliver monthly forecasts and 3-Year Business Plans
• Supervise drill and blast design and implementation
• Develop team members through mentoring and recognition
Requirements:
• Engineering degree with Professional Engineer eligibility
• Minimum 8 years experience in mining or process settings
• Proficient in MS Office and mining software
• Experience in open-pit operations preferred
• Strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities Lead the engineering vision that connects safety, sustainability, and operational excellence at Teck.
