Analyst, Data Quality & Governance

As the Analyst, Data Quality & Governance, you will collaborate with data owners, stewards, and custodians across our organization to ensure that the content, structure, and context of all data assets and related data lineage is clear and understood. As the Analyst, Data Quality & Governance, you will report to the Manager, Data Assets and Standards and will collaborate with data owners, stewards, and custodians across the organization to ensure data assets are trusted, discoverable, well-documented, and fit for purpose across reporting, analytics, automation, and AI use cases. You will help establish the metadata, lineage, business context, and governance controls required to make enterprise data assets usable by both people and AI systems. In addition to managing data assets, you will leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to scale governance activities, improve metadata quality, accelerate documentation, and enhance data discovery. You will also contribute to the development of AI-powered governance capabilities such as intelligent assistants, agents, and automated workflows that improve access to trusted enterprise data.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist in the implementation of relevant data governance policies and work closely with data stewards to enforce standards for data assets.
  • Enhance data cataloguing and metadata practices ensuring datasets are properly structured, classified, governed, and discoverable to support analytics, automation, AI agents, and generative AI solutions.
  • Complete and up to date data catalogue available for data discovery and data management.
  • Supports AI readiness by ensuring data assets is governed, trusted, and readily usable for advanced analytics and automation.
  • Trusted and well-governed data assets that can be confidently consumed by users, applications, analytics platforms, and AI solutions.
  • Establish lineage across systems to allow visibility of data flow across systems for stronger data governance controls.
  • Monitor and track usage of data assets to understand and report on patterns and trends.
  • Efficient use of data by stakeholders to minimize burden of data collection and maximize insights development.
  • Enhanced user experience and self-service access to governed data through AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Generate reports on data asset utilization and identify opportunities to optimize usage.
  • Design and maintain AI-powered governance solutions, including agents, copilots, and automated workflows that improve data discovery, knowledge sharing, and access to trusted data assets.
