Qualifications/Skills

  • Minimum 18 years of age, and Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • Communicate effectively and tactfully, both oral and written
  • Read, interpret, understand and apply complex and overlapping policies
  • Strong multi-tasking, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to maintain control under pressure, work at a fast pace in an unpredictable environment
  • Demonstrate problem-solving and critical thinking
  • Make sound, independent decisions, and exercise discretion during emergency/difficult/stressful situations, and be accountable for such decisions
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and stakeholders
  • Strong computer literacy, data entry, retrieval and keyboarding skills
  • Experience in Emergency Services would be an asset

Job offer is conditional on: successful criminal background check, current standard first aid and CPR certificate; successful completion of all training requirements and ACO Provincial Certification; and Restricted Radio Operator Certification.

Candidates will be required to attend and successfully complete a 12-week FT training program.
