FTE :Full-Time Term of Employment: Continuing Salary and Benefits: According to the provincial salary grid ( www.stf.sk.ca )plus a benefits package that includes subsidized, furnished housing and a Northern living allowance. Moving assistance may also be available. Qualifications:
- Saskatchewan Professional A Teacher's Certificate (or confirmation of eligibility)
- Knowledge and experience applying best practices in the areas of instruction, curriculum,environment and assessment
- Knowledge of First Nations, Metis, and Inuit languages, histories, and cultures
Demonstrated ability to work well within a team as well as independently
The Preferred Candidate will have:
- Familiarity and experience with Northern issues
- Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience
- Minimum of five years of successful administrative
- Experience at the elementary, middle, and secondary years level
- Graduate academic training in school administration
- Strong instructional leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Strong commitment to the schools plus/community schools and safe schools concept
