Write original scripts for Loraverse Originals, using strong character, dialogue, pacing, and storytelling skills. Work remotely or hybrid, with Ontario preferred.
Loraverse seeks a contract screenwriter with a strong voice and compelling ideas. You will create short productions and longer-form concepts across formats including animation, microdrama, sketches, commercials, and branded shorts. The production team uses Loraverse's pipeline to bring scripts to screen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pitch two or three original concepts
- Develop story, characters, tone, and format
- Create story or series bibles for recurring concepts
- Write selected concepts from outline through revisions
- Collaborate on visual direction and provide production notes
Requirements:
- Strong writing sample in a scripted format
- Understanding of character, structure, dialogue, and premise
- Ability to write concise, engaging stories
- Ability to develop ideas independently and respond to feedback
- Curiosity about emerging filmmaking technology
