About The Role

We're looking for a Senior Infrastructure Specialist to join a federal government engagement supporting a large-scale Microsoft 365 environment. You'll work as part of a virtual, multidisciplinary technical team providing senior-level administration, integration, and support across Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, on-premises Active Directory, and Exchange environments serving tens of thousands of users.

You'll work as part of a virtual, multidisciplinary technical team providing senior-level administration, integration, and support across Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, on-premises Active Directory, and Exchange environments serving tens of thousands of users.

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on infrastructure expert who enjoys solving complex identity, messaging, and cloud/hybrid integration challenges in a mission-critical, security-conscious environment.

What you'll do

• Configure, administer, maintain, and support Microsoft 365, Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Exchange, and related cloud, hybrid, and on-premises infrastructure services
• Configure and maintain integrations between Microsoft 365, Azure, identity, messaging, and on-premises systems
• Administer identity synchronization, authentication, role-based access control, and privileged access management
• Monitor availability, performance, security, and operational health of supported services
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents, service degradation, and integration issues
• Plan, test, document, and implement approved changes, upgrades, and migrations
• Assess new Microsoft service capabilities and provide technical impact analysis and recommendations
• Identify infrastructure risks and configuration gaps, and recommend mitigations
• Support backup, recovery, and business‑continuity/disaster‑recovery activities
• Develop and maintain solution designs, configuration records, operational procedures, and knowledge articles
• Provide technical advice and recommendations to stakeholders and participate in working groups and planning sessions
• Provide knowledge transfer and operational handover as needed

Required Qualifications

• Recognized post‑secondary credential in computer science or a related field
• Minimum 5 years (within the last 7) administering and supporting enterprise Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Exchange environments at large scale, including at least 4 of: Exchange Online administration, Exchange Server administration, hybrid Exchange configuration, mail flow/transport configuration, identity/directory integration, email security configuration, messaging incident troubleshooting, and implementing Exchange/M365 service changes
• Minimum 3 years (within the last 5) configuring, administering, and troubleshooting Microsoft Azure infrastructure services, including at least 4 of: virtual networks/subnets, Network Security Groups, virtual machines, Azure Storage, private endpoints/Private Link, Azure Monitor/Log Analytics, Azure Policy, Conditional Access, Azure Backup/recovery, and RBAC
• Minimum 5 years (within the last 7) administering Microsoft Entra ID and on-premises Active Directory in a hybrid identity environment, including Entra Connect/Cloud Sync, authentication and identity sync, RBAC, Conditional Access, and Privileged Identity Management (or equivalent just‑in‑time privileged access)
• Minimum 3 years (within the last 5) developing scripts or automation for Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Active Directory, or Exchange administration and reporting
• Demonstrated experience providing operational support for enterprise Microsoft infrastructure environments, including monitoring, incident resolution, change management, risk identification, and operational documentation
• At least 2 active Microsoft certifications from: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert, Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Cybersecurity Architect Expert, or Microsoft 365 Messaging Administrator Associate (or Microsoft-authorized successor certifications)
• Fluent English (advanced oral, comprehension, and written)
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada security clearance

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Copilot/AI agents, Teams SDK, Teams Toolkit, Adaptive Cards, or Teams message extensions
• Prior experience supporting large public‑sector or enterprise Microsoft environments
