About the Role

Our client, a rapidly growing technology firm focused on building the decentralized internet, is seeking a talented Full Stack Blockchain Developer to join their remote team. This role is ideal for a developer experienced in both front-end and back-end technologies, with a strong emphasis on integrating Web3 capabilities. You will be responsible for building user interfaces, developing server-side logic, and seamlessly connecting applications with blockchain networks and smart contracts. This position offers the flexibility of fully remote work, allowing you to contribute from anywhere. You will play a key role in developing innovative decentralized applications (dApps) and enhancing existing platforms with blockchain functionality. We are looking for a proactive and skilled individual passionate about the crypto and blockchain space, with a desire to build scalable and user-friendly Web3 experiences. You'll collaborate with a distributed team of engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver impactful solutions in the decentralized web landscape. Your expertise will be critical in bridging the gap between traditional web development and the emerging world of blockchain.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications, integrating blockchain functionalities.
• Build intuitive and responsive user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks.
• Design and implement robust back-end services and APIs.
• Integrate applications with blockchain networks via libraries such as Web3.js or Ethers.js.
• Write, test, and deploy smart contracts on relevant blockchain platforms.
• Collaborate with designers to implement user-centric dApp experiences.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the entire technology stack.
• Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in blockchain, Web3, and full-stack development.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with significant experience in blockchain/Web3 development.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies (e.g., React, Vue, Angular) and back-end languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go).
• Experience with smart contract development languages (e.g., Solidity) and frameworks (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle).
• Familiarity with blockchain interaction libraries (Web3.js, Ethers.js).
• Understanding of blockchain fundamentals, cryptocurrencies, and the broader crypto/blockchain ecosystem.
• Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL).
• Knowledge of API design and integration.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to thrive in a remote work environment.
• Experience in Kimberley, Northern Cape, ZA is not a prerequisite for this role.
