To be eligible for Pomerleau’s internship program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application and for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Reside in Canada at the time of application and for the entire duration of the internship.
  • Be duly enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution or have graduated from such an institution within no more than six (6) months prior to the internship start date.

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and optimize construction methods and sequences.
  • Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
  • Design temporary works including: Formwork and falsework, Hoisting and jacking systems, Excavation and shoring systems, Lifting/rigging devices, Temporary bridges, pile templates, cofferdams, and access systems
  • Prepare or work with technicians to prepare models and drawings for M&TW.
  • Prepare engineering calculations and documentation.
  • Support construction teams with technical guidance, field reviews, and certificates of conformity.

What you bring:

  • Enrollment in an Engineering program.
  • Willingness to work in-office and conduct site visits.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn on-site.
