Join the University of British Columbia's Department of Medicine as a Lead Software Engineer to enhance MRI research systems. Drive exciting projects within a dedicated software team focused on innovative data processing.
As part of the MSMRI Research Group, you will lead the design and implementation of complex MRI research systems. Your key focus will include managing system requirements, directing development workflows, and mentoring junior developers. You will collaborate closely with researchers and stakeholders to optimize a high-functioning imaging database and ensure alignment with institutional goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement MRI research systems and web portals
• Gather requirements and document functional specifications
• Manage development workflows and oversee version control
• Mentor and supervise junior developers and interns
• Author SOPs and enforce software development standards
Requirements:
• Proven experience in software development and project management
• Skilled in full-stack web development and database management
• Familiarity with data processing pipelines for MRI data
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Utilize your technical expertise and creativity to lead meaningful software projects at UBC's MSMRI Research Group.
