Health Sciences North (HSN) is seeking an innovative individual for the position of Occupational Therapist to use a holistic, client, and family-centred approach to optimize safety, functional ability, and well-being to enable participation in activities of daily living within the areas of self-care, productivity (e.g. work, home, and school) and leisure throughout each level of the developmental spectrum (e.g. birth to end of life). Emphasize the physical, cognitive, affective, and spiritual components of clients’ functional performance and the physical, institutional, social, and cultural aspects of the environment. The ideal candidate will have a Current Certificate of Registration in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapist of Ontario (COTO). We are looking for someone with a minimum of Experience working with people who have severe and persistent physical and/or mental illness.

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW The Oncology and Medical Unit offers inpatient treatment and a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services with a client centered approach to acute medical patients admitted with disease or disorders with the specialty of Oncology and General Internal Medicine. Highly trained physicians, nurses and professional staff provide a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to the diagnoses and management of these clients.

As of January 2026, Expansion of “As of Right” legislation allows more regulated health professionals moving to Ontario from another province to practice right away while they await registration with the regulatory body in Ontario.More information can be found here . $15,000 over three years
