Ben Hokum & Son Limited is seeking a
Certified Industrial Millwright
to join their
night-shift
maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
Maintain sawmill and material-handling equipment
Complete preventive maintenance and equipment inspections
Repair bearings, chains, sprockets, belts, gearboxes, drives, and related components
Perform welding, cutting, fabrication, alignment, and equipment setup
Identify the root causes of recurring equipment failures and recommend corrective action
Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and improvement projects
Document maintenance activities and repairs using the CMMS
Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout requirements
Education And Experience
Ontario 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright certification
Construction Millwright certification may be considered with relevant industrial experience
Minimum of two years of industrial maintenance experience preferred
Sawmill or manufacturing experience considered an asset
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Experience with conveyors, bearings, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and fabrication
Ability to read mechanical drawings, manuals, and schematics
Dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working independently
Availability to work the 3:30 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. night shift
The position offers a base wage of
$42.05 per hour , plus a
$0.60 night-shift premium
and a production bonus paid every two weeks.
