Join the Government of Alberta as Director of Business Services, located in Edmonton. Spearhead financial operations and build strategic stakeholder relationships to support educational priorities.
This full-time permanent role within the Ministry of Education and Childcare requires expertise in financial management, contract oversight, and facilities administration. The successful candidate will lead initiatives relevant to financial governance, ensuring alignment with legislative requirements while fostering collaboration across departments.
Key Responsibilities
• Direct day-to-day financial operations for the ministry
• Implement and improve financial policies and controls
• Oversee strategic contract and grant initiatives
• Manage accommodation planning and related projects
• Lead the development of operational plans for the branch
Requirements:
• Relevant university degree and seven years of experience
• Experience leading financial operations in a management capacity
• Ability to interpret financial legislation and policy
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Experience in facility management is advantageous Contribute to Alberta’s educational system by ensuring robust business services and effective financial governance.
