As a key member of the 24/7 Crisis Diversion Team, you'll utilize your expertise to address crises related to mental health, intoxication, or homelessness. This position demands a minimum of two years in community service, strong referral skills, and the ability to engage with marginalized populations constructively.
Key Responsibilities: • Conduct risk assessments and safety planning for individuals in crisis • Provide on-call crisis intervention and support connections to services • Make referrals to housing and health services as needed • Administer overdose techniques and harm reduction tactics • Operate the Crisis Diversion Van for safe transportation
Requirements: • Valid class non-GDL 5 driver's license and clean driver's abstract • Post-secondary degree in Social Work or relevant experience • At least 2 years’ experience in community-based services • Valid First Aid certificate or enrolled in future courses • Recent Police Check and Child and Youth Intervention Check
