SOC Architect

As a SoC Architect, you will lead and drive the definition of new SoC architectures and features for next generation products. This is a senior role, tasked with identifying and analyzing emerging use cases and proposing new and innovative SoC architectures to efficiently support them.
Your solid architecture foundation, leadership, and SoC design experience are desired for success. You are empowered to experiment with new ideas while contributing to impactful ongoing deliverables and broadening your knowledge of whole SoC design.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• You are passionate about identifying, proposing, and delivering new SoC architecture and architecture features for products in new and existing markets – particularly around smartphone and mobile platforms
• You are energized by cross-company collaboration and working with various teams (RTL, PD, Circuit, Thermal, SW, Platform, & business groups) to identify, analyze, and optimize critical complex use cases including gaming and camera applications
• You enjoy performing high-level performance modeling and analysis of hardware features, applications, benchmarks, and complex use cases.
• You are an expert in one or more technical areas. You understand and can analyze the impact of system-level architectural trade-offs (including CPU, GPU, NPU, ISP, memory subsystems, and system software).
• You are highly analytical and can leverage a data-driven approach to drive consensus around complex architectural proposals.
• You get excited about working with design teams and customers on IP/SOC power projections, methodology alignment, use case analysis, max temp and power mitigations – Executing performance, perf /watt, perf / sq. mm modeling or analysis.
• You are skilled at presenting architecture proposals and specifications to the design team.
