- Leadership Experience: 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role. Prior experience in a controller or similar financial leadership role is beneficial.
- Manufacturing Experience: several years' experience with manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, production variance analysis, and overhead allocation.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, production managers, and senior executives to achieve financial objectives and drive operational improvements.
- Financial Analysis: Strong analytical skills are crucial. They need to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Cost Accounting: Understanding of cost accounting principles is essential for tracking and analyzing production costs, overhead expenses, and inventory valuation in a manufacturing environment.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Experience in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis to support operational decision-making and resource allocation.
- Financial Reporting: Proficiency in financial reporting standards and regulations to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results to management and corporate headquarters.
- ERP Systems: Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics, used for financial transactions, reporting, and analysis.
