As Emera's Cash Specialist, you will play an important role in a complex corporate treasury environment, gaining exposure to a broad range of activities including cash management, liquidity forecasting, debt and foreign exchange transactions, banking relationships, treasury governance, and process improvement initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Treasury, this role offers an excellent opportunity for a treasury, banking, or finance professional to broaden their expertise while contributing to the management of high value and strategically important financial transactions. Key Elements of the Role

As a key member of Emera's Corporate Treasury team, you will contribute to the management of liquidity, banking operations, treasury systems, and treasury governance activities across the organization. Working closely with the wider treasury team, you will help ensure the efficient execution of treasury activities while identifying opportunities to enhance controls, automation, reporting, and overall effectiveness. More specifically, in this role you will

Manage daily cash forecasting and liquidity management activities Generate cash management reports for treasury and Finance leadership Support month-end and year-end reporting requirement Execute and manage debt, interest, and equity-related payments, ensuring compliance with approved schedules and controls Manage bank account openings, closings, and documentation Administer banking services, agreements, account access, and governance, including Delegation of Authority (DOA) requirements for debt and FX transactions. Resolve banking access issues and other day-to-day treasury and cash management matters Ensure adherence to SOX requirements, internal controls, and treasury governance standards Collaborate with treasury, tax, and corporate accounting teams to optimize Kyriba utilization including cash forecasting, payment processing, and intercompany loan management Lead and support treasury transformation initiatives, process automation, standardization, and continuous improvement projects These skills will make you successful

Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline, combined with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in cash management, treasury operations, commercial banking, or a related financial role Professional designation (CTP, CPA, CFA) completion or progress towards a designation would be considered an asset Experience in cash forecasting and liquidity management Advanced proficiency Excel, including cash forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, and reconciliation activities; and a demonstrated curiosity and adaptability in using AI-assisted tools (e.g., Copilot) to improve efficiency and effectiveness Strong knowledge of cash management principles, liquidity planning, banking services, and cash flow forecasting Experience working with treasury management systems and ERP platforms; familiarity with Oracle and Kyriba would be considered an asset Sound understanding of commercial banking products and services, including electronic payments, collections, account administration, and bank relationship management Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with banking partners, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams A continuous-improvement mindset with a proven ability to identify process enhancements, streamline workflows, and improve operational efficiencies Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while successfully collaborating as part of a team and adapting to changing business priorities The perks of joining our team?
