Job Description and ResponsibilitiesThe WASCO PIPE PROTECTION CORPORATION is a leading provider of pipe coating solutions for the oil and gas industry. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to join our team at our pipe coating facility. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for overseeing all procurement activities, from strategic sourcing of raw materials to managing supplier relationships and optimizing inventoryThe Purchasing Manager role is essential for ensuring a reliable and cost-effective supply chain that supports our manufacturing and operational goals. The successful candidate will develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of all necessary materials, equipment, and services for pipe coating operations.Strategic Sourcing and Procurement: create and align strategies with company objectives to optimize purchasing processes and supplier relationshipsSupplier management: Identify, evaluate, and select new suppliers and manage existing vendor relationships. Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure favorable deals and ensure reliable, high-quality supply.Inventory control: Oversee and manage raw material and consumable inventory levels. Work closely with the Operations and Production teams to forecast demand and implement inventory management strategies that prevent shortages while minimizing carrying costs.Cost optimization and analysis: Continuously monitor market trends and conduct cost analysis to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or reliability.Process improvement: Implement and manage procurement systems, policies, and procedures to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve visibility within the supply chain.Reporting and metrics: Track and analyze key procurement metrics, such as vendor performance, purchasing volume, and cost savings, and provide regular reports to senior managementRequirementsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement roleProven negotiation skills and a track record of successful vendor contract managementStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilitiesProficiency with procurement softwareAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectivelyPlease forward your resume to hr.ewppc@wascoenergy.comWe thank all applicants for their interest; only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
