Position Overview: As an Oracle DBA with Epic ODBA or Cogito certification, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing our Oracle database environment. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our Oracle databases while supporting the implementation and maintenance of Epic Systems or Cogito Healthcare Analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Oracle database administration, along with specialized expertise in Epic ODBA or Cogito platforms.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain Oracle database systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle database software and related components.
  • Implement and maintain database backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Monitor database performance and resource utilization, proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation and maintenance of Epic Systems or Cogito Healthcare Analytics solutions.
  • Work closely with application developers to optimize SQL queries and database performance.
  • Implement and enforce database security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner, providing root cause analysis and preventive measures.
  • Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle database technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification preferred.
  • Epic ODBA certification or Cogito certification required.
  • Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle database administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security management.
  • Experience working with Epic Systems EMR/EHR or Cogito Healthcare Analytics platforms preferred.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
