About The Role

Data Sciences is looking for a research analyst to assist in the development and execution of market research studies, online experiments and other research projects. This is an entry-level position for someone who has experience in R. The right fit is someone who is a highly motivated self-learner looking to grow and take on a challenging role at a fast-growing company. 


Key Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily:


  • Data analysis and visualization
  • Online survey programming
  • Establish research strategies and write survey questionnaires
  • Draft research reports and memos
  • Present research findings to clients
  • Innovate and contribute ideas to new ways of streamline processes and solving problems
  • Carry out other special projects as required


Candidate Qualifications

Education/Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with experience in quantitative methods
  • R programming capabilities: 1+ year experience (Intermediate). Knowledge of Tidyverse is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work with code and follow coding best practices
  • Understanding of statistical principles, particularly with respect to survey design and interpretation 
  • Fully bilingual in English and French if working out of the Montreal Headquarters
  • Exceptionally strong organizational skills - detail-oriented, ability to manage several tasks at once and stick to deadlines, good at identifying priorities and managing expectations.
  • Flexibility: you don’t get flustered when new challenges are thrown your way
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and pivot/react quickly when needed.
  • Computer literacy in all Google Suite programs (Drive, Doc, Sheets, Slides, etc)


Assets:


  • Experience in market and/or public opinion research
  • Knowledge of other programming languages and tools (e.g. SQL, Python, JavaScript)
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. git)
  • Experience related to politics or campaigning
  • Experience with public speaking and presenting research to diverse audiences
  • We work globally Knowledge of other languages is appreciated

Description du poste

Data Sciences recherche un.e analyste de recherche pour participer au développement et à l'exécution d'études de marché, d'expériences en ligne et d'autres projets de recherche. Il s'agit d'un poste junior pour une personne qui a de l'expérience à programmer avec R. Le ou la candidat.e idéal.e est un.e autodidacte très motivé.e qui cherche à se développer et à assumer un rôle stimulant au sein d'une entreprise en plein essor.


Responsabilités

Pour accomplir ce travail avec succès, une personne doit être en mesure d'accomplir les tâches suivantes de manière satisfaisante :


  • Analyse et visualisation de données;
  • Programmation de sondages en ligne;
  • Établir des stratégies de recherche et rédiger des questionnaires de sondage;
  • Rédiger des rapports de recherche et des mémos;
  • Présenter les résultats des études et des sondages aux clients;
  • Innover et proposer de nouvelles méthodes et nouveaux processus;
  • Réaliser d'autres projets spéciaux en fonction des besoins.


Exigences

Formation et expérience:


  • Baccalauréat dans un domaine pertinent avec expérience en méthodes quantitatives
  • Capacités de programmation R : Expérience de plus d'un an (intermédiaire). La connaissance de Tidyverse est un atout.
  • Excellentes capacités d'analyse, de communication et de rédaction
  • Capacité à travailler avec du code et à suivre les meilleures pratiques de codage
  • Compréhension des principes statistiques, en particulier en ce qui concerne la conception et l'interprétation des enquêtes.
  • Bilingue (anglais et français) si vous travaillez du bureau de Montréal
  • Bonnes capacités d'organisation et de gestion du temps
  • Excellentes compétences en communication
  • Capacité et enthousiasme à l’idée de travailler en équipe
  • Capacité d'adaptation : vous ne vous laissez pas déconcerter par les nouveaux défis qui se présentent à vous.


Atouts: 

  • Expérience en matière d'études de marché et/ou d'opinion publique
  • Connaissance d'autres langages et outils de programmation (par exemple SQL, Python, JavaScript)
  • Connaissance des systèmes de contrôle de version (par exemple, git)
  • Expérience dans le domaine de la politique ou des campagnes électorales
  • Expérience de la prise de parole en public et de la présentation d'études à des publics divers
