Find out more by visiting www.vensure.comPosition SummaryThe Senior Payroll Specialist helps support our payroll function for our growing client base. This position will be responsible for all payroll-related processing activities.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe senior payroll specialist position is responsible for processing voids and tax overridesResponsible for being the first escalation and responding by troubleshooting any issues presented by clients.This position will work directly with our payroll supervisor on special projects to assist and address our clients' needs.Payroll specialists will work within our payroll software to run payroll, input payroll data, and prepare payroll checks.As a senior payroll specialist, you will learn our company policies, SOPs, and procedures to deepen your payroll knowledge.Responsible for processing our growing client base's payroll using applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and employee paymentsPerform other duties and projects as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to efficiently organize work activities to meet daily and weekly deadlinesAbility to multitask with a strong attention to detailGood communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environmentIntermediate to strong skills in MS Office, including Excel and OutlookMust use logic and reasoning to make immediate decisions under pressure or tight deadlines.Proven ability to make proper judgment calls when presented with a situation/problemWork with other departments to find other resolutions Education & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent2-5+ years of payroll experienceExperience handling/managing multi-Canadian provincial payrolls, payroll systems, and processing Canadian payroll.Bilingual - Proficient in French and EnglishPCP or PLPs certificates on required for this position.
