Senior Product Manager, Streams Processing

OverviewMongoDB is seeking an exceptional Product Manager to drive its strategy and execution for Atlas Stream Processing. In this role, you will own specific areas of product vision, requirements, and execution plan, working closely with engineering teams, customers, partners, and industry experts to enhance MongoDB's Stream Processing product. This role is based remotely in Canada.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for MongoDB's Stream Processing and Streaming productsDrive developer relations and marketing strategies to increase awareness, adoption, and engagement with MongoDB's Stream Processing and Streaming products, collaborating with internal marketing teams on developer advocacy, educational content, events, and community initiativesCollaborate with engineering teams, customers, partners, and industry experts to enhance MongoDB’s event-based products, including the Kafka Connector, Atlas Stream Processing, and new productsConduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the streaming spaceGather and analyze feedback, usage data, and market insights to drive product improvementsWork with cross-functional teams to align product requirements, go-to-market strategies, and customer success initiativesDeeply understand stream processing principles such as consistency guarantees, continuous processing, durability, and availability for event-based architecturesCollaborate with engineering teams to ensure technical feasibility, performance, and scalability of streaming systemsStay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in streaming data and database spaceRequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field5+ years of experience in product management or a deeply technical customer-facing role, focusing on streaming and stream processing systemsDeep expertise in streaming systems (e.g., Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Apache Pulsar) and database systems (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL)Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive complex technical projectsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiencesPassion for innovation in the streaming data and stream processing spaceStrong technical acumen comparable to engineersCompensation and BenefitsMongoDB’s base salary range for this role in Canada is $112,000—$155,000 CAD. Compensation is determined by skill, experience, qualifications, and work location. Benefits may include equity, employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, RRSP with employer match, mental health counseling, backup child and elder care, and health, dental, and vision benefits.
